A $12.7 million project will integrate what has been described as genetic material into Australian wheat, allowing farmers to sow crops in a greater range of climate scenarios. The national program, led by the CSIRO, will work with state agricultural bodies to fast-track industry adoption of wheat varieties with long coleoptile genetic traits.
