Physics in Industry Day 2022 – Attaining iQ (industrial Quantum)

In 2022, our topic will explore how Australia can exploit the potential of quantum technology to establish a national industry as described in CSIRO’s quantum roadmap “Growing Australia’s Quantum Technology Industry” (Growing Australia’s Quantum Technology Industry – CSIRO). The day will also include a lecture by A/Prof Chris Ferrie explaining quantum physics for non-physicists. Chris is a quantum physicist at UTS, but it also a renowned author with titles such as “Quantum Entanglement for Babies” and “Where did the Universe come from?”. The day will also address infrastructure and workforce requirements for a vibrant quantum industry.
