Congratulations to Dr Graeme Moad, Fellow of the Royal Society
Congratulations to Manufacturing’s esteemed chemist Dr Graeme Moad, who has added to his growing list of accolades after being admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Society in London last week!
The Royal Society is the oldest and, many would say, the most prestigious scientific institution in the world. As a Fellow, Graeme joins a very exclusive list, including many people who have attained almost mythic proportions for their scientific endeavours. Among those entitled to be referred to as “FRS” are household names including Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin and Albert Einstein.
Graeme takes his place in this impressive group as a renowned scientist, educator, and trailblazer in the field of polymer science. His work, and the work of the teams he has been part of, have helped to improve the performance of polymers in a wide range of applications, from adhesives and coatings to drug delivery systems and tissue engineering.
Graeme is also a very collaborative and generous colleague, and a mentor to many – we are lucky to have him on the CSIRO team!
