Understanding how “beneficial” invertebrates— including ladybeetles, lacewings, spiders, predator mites and parasitic wasps — can suppress pest populations in canola crops is the subject of two new research projects worth $12 million. CSIRO and Cesar Australia are leading the studies with investment from the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC).
