Australia’s most sustainable seafoods recognised

Two Australian seafood products have shared this year’s top honours in the Sustainable Seafood Awards 2021, organised by the Marine Stewardship Council and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council. The winning seafood are Austral Fisheries Glacier 51 Toothfish, which won the award last year, joined by the recently certified Fremantle Octopus range. […] The MSC and ASC annual Lifetime Achievement Award is granted to Tasmanian based marine ecologist and mathematical modeller, Dr Keith Sainsbury who devoted his time working at the CSIRO for over 20 years and has made significant contributions to sustainable methods in fishery management.
