Australia’s science agency unveils mapping tech for SMEs

Australia’s national science agency has developed a mapping technology that will help robots navigate dangerous and complex environments such as underground tunnels without the use of GPS. Dubbed Wildcat, the simultaneous localisation and mapping (Slam) was developed by Data61, the digital specialist arm of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).
