CSIRO research shows beetles can battle blowflies!

Working with dung beetles does not sound glamorous, does it?

But did you know that dung beetles are quite beautiful as well as being environmentally powerful!

These are beetles with benefits!

Dr Valerie Caron is a CSIRO entomologist and research scientist based at Black Mountain.

She spoke with ABC Radio Canberra’s Adrienne Francis about how dung beetles are being used to improve soil nutrients and dramatically reduce bush fly numbers in Australia.
