Ed Husic gives $4.6 million in federal funding for quantum training

National science organization CSIRO has scored $3.6 million to fund up to 20 PhDs in quantum technology under Australia’s Quantum Graduates Program. Another $1 million will go to the Sydney Quantum Academy through the National Quantum Collaboration Initiative to develop industry capacity through education and research. Federal Minister of Industry and Science, Ed Husic, said the award of the graduate program to CSIRO will help attract and train our nation’s next generation of quantum technology specialists.
