17th Int. Symposium on Metal-Hydrogen Systems

30 October 2022 - 4 November 2022

This Symposium will be the seventeenth meeting and will be held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Perth, Western Australia.   MH2022, the International Symposium on Metal-Hydrogen Systems, is the 30th meeting in a distinguished series of conferences dating back to 1968. It is anticipated that there will be between 300 – 400 delegates from Australia and overseas. Most sessions will relate to the three Symposium themes – fundamentals, materials and applications and will target a mixed audience of students, researchers, industry representatives and government representatives.

CSIRO’s Hydrogen Industry Mission leader Patrick Hartley is among the plenary speakers.

Abstract submissions are now open, with the deadline now extended to the end of August 2022, click here for more details.

Hydrogen is currently heralded as a future major energy carrier in Australia. The National Hydrogen Strategy of Australia sets a vision for a clean, innovative, safe and competitive hydrogen industry with expectations to become a major player in the hydrogen industry by 2030. As such, there is great interest from major industries across Australia to integrate hydrogen technology into their future energy use and supply chains. This sets the stage for using metal-hydrogen systems in a variety of industrial applications from remote area power systems to concentrated solar thermal energy storage.
