AIP Zoom into Physics 3: Future Power

23 June 2021 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Zoom into Physics is a monthly moderated Zoom conversation with our resident panel:
The Philosopher: Tibor Molnar
The Experimentalist: Kirrily Rule
The Theoretician: Geraint Lewis
The Moderator: Scott Martin

Audience participation is welcomed and encouraged – and don’t let the title put you off – the discussion is intended for a general audience.

We’ll be putting the cat amongst the pigeons – or to be more precise – putting the philosopher amongst the physicists to stimulate a fun and thoughtful discussion on a different physics topic each month….and you are invited – to listen or, perhaps, to participate with your thoughts or questions for our amazing panel.

Future Power: join the discussion about how we can supply our future needs for power AND minimise the impact on the environment. Topics will include: renewables, fission, fusion, hydrogen – even tapping into dark energy (no, not coal, though we can’t ignore reliance on fossil fuels in the discussion!).
