AMA with George Hedon – PAUSING, but not for long

‘The festival was like creating a startup, annually’, stated George Hedon in a recent interview.

George was responsible for creating one of Australia’s most recognised and respected independent and industry-driven tech festivals – Pause Fest.  The festival, which ran for 11 years, has been described as ‘Innovation Capital’, ‘Octoberfest for business’ and ‘Woodstock for digital natives’.

Join us for an up close and personal AMA with George Hedon and learn about passion, purpose, drive and imagination, from a true tech impresario.  He may also share what’s next!

George Hedon is the Enabler of Awesome, Founder and CEO of the world’s leading creativity infused business event – Pause Fest. His expertise in design, advertising, media, music, curation and events lead him to create award-winning campaigns and experiences.

Under his creative leadership, Pause festival has attracted major brands, startups, agencies, corporates, government departments and hosted over 700 international and local speakers supporting the growth of Australian born businesses and enterprises. George’s interests are in empowering creators and creating meaningful experiences.

George is also a regular speaker at meetups and global industry events such as SXSW, Sector 3.0, Pause, General Assembly, Melbourne International Film Festival, Billy Blue College, RMIT University, Swinburne University of Technology.

This AMA will be facilitated by Megan Davis:

Originally from Michigan, now living and creating in Melbourne, Megan considers herself a citizen of the world. She has been discovering stories since 2012, specialising in narrative strategy and storytelling for businesses that are daring to create new realities and futures.

She has travelled the world speaking and conducting workshops in Melbourne, Sydney, New York, London, Berlin, and most recently Lisbon at the House of Beautiful Business in 2019 to teach people how to connect with storytelling to deliver strategic business results. Her top three favourite speaking gigs of all time are Pausefest (Melbourne 2019) House of Beautiful Business (Lisbon 2019) and the EPIC Conference (Oct 2020 – Online – International Audience).

She is now working at a management consulting firm crafting narratives and communications for businesses in the corporate and public sectors.

Putting empathy first in business and life, she loves sharing her knowledge by speaking, training, and consulting on projects that are changing the world.
