Building Capacity for Responsible Ag Innovation

8 February 2023 - 10 February 2023

Emerging science and technology is creating complex issues for societies and their decision makers. Novel and disruptive innovations and technologies present significant policy, regulatory and ethical challenges, which if left unresolved, could constrain the potential for future science to deliver benefits to society. We need to be able to demonstrate responsible practices in our organisations and companies which take into account both upstream and downstream stakeholders.

CEAT, in partnership with CSIRO, are offering a limited number of places for professionals, researchers and entrepreneurs working in the agri-food sector to access a free CSIRO-developed training program to develop their Responsible Innovation practices.

Focusing on big complex, topical issues facing the agri-food sector, this course will equip participants with a fundamental knowledge of Responsible Innovation (RI) and help them to identify activities and approaches that will help their organisations meet their ethical obligations. This course will allow participants to develop the necessary skills, ideas and tools for RI practice, and provide opportunities for them to explore the application and relevance of RI in their own context. By the end of the course participants will have developed their views and stance on what it means to practice innovation responsibly, and how this can be applied within their organisations.
