Australia’s food and agriculture sector has the opportunity to become a high quality and high value exporter of sustainable, healthy and consistent products. An area identified with huge potential for growth is the alternative proteins area. Current challenges for Australian primary producers, ingredient companies and manufacturers include developing products that meet consumer needs and ensuring the ability to manufacture protein and food products at commercial scale.
