CSIRO Conversations: myth busting COVID-19

You’re invited to join us for a virtual session to learn more about COVID-19, address myths and provide insights on economic recovery and resilience.

Throughout 2021, we’ve lived through multiple lockdowns, seen the reimagining of iconic national and global events, and had huge shifts in the way we live, work and do business.

Our nation is vastly different to what it was before COVID-19.

As Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO has played a crucial role in the country’s response to the pandemic. Our researchers have mobilised and collaborated with the scientific community on a broad range of activities – preclinical testing of vaccines, understanding the virus and its mutations, supporting surgical mask manufacturing, wastewater surveillance and analysing and sharing trends in data and the impact on health services.

We’ve also spent the past 18 months working with our partners across the business ecosystem to understand the economic impact of the pandemic. Collaborating with some of Australia’s largest corporations and the SME community, we’ve undertaken extensive research to identify the barriers and enablers of doing business, and to understand how industry can survive and thrive in the current climate.
