CSIRO’s Permanent Carbon Locking FSP: The challenge and urgency of a negative emissions future

This webinar is the official launch of CarbonLock, CSIRO’s Permanent Carbon Locking Future Science Platform. CarbonLock is a new CSIRO initiative to bring talent from across CSIRO, Universities, and Industry together to accelerate the development of quantifiable, fast-acting, scalable, cost-effective and secure atmospheric carbon dioxide removal. Without technologies that permanently remove atmospheric carbon dioxide, the transition to net-zero emissions will not be achievable.

This webinar will introduce CSIRO’s future science platform, highlight the challenges, need and opportunities around the development of (engineered) negative emissions technologies in the Australian context, and outline how CarbonLock will develop new science and driven innovation to tackle one of the most significant challenges facing Australia and the world.
