UROP Welcome Forum 2022

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) has a proud history in Victoria’s biomedical research industry, facilitating more than 700 undergraduate student job placements at over 50 organisations across the state. Join us as we formally welcome this years’ student and supervisor participants into the UROP community.

The UROP Welcome Forum is your opportunity to hear more about the wide variety of projects being undertaken by this year’s student placements. Guest speakers Susan Burchill, Director of CSIRO Education and Outreach, and Mike Wilson, Senior Director of Research at CSL, will share their perspectives on the program, and Keynote Speaker, Jenny Chia, Senior Research Scientist at CSL and UROP alumnus, will provide valuable insight into her own UROP experience and the impact it has had on her career. An opportunity to ask questions of the speakers will be provided to attendees.
