Fortescue signs Japanese hydrogen deal

Fortescue Metals Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Iwatani Corporation for the supply of liquid hydrogen to Japan. The three companies will create the Global LH2 Consortium to establish large-scale liquid hydrogen production and supply capabilities. […] Fortescue is already involved in several in-development hydrogen projects in Australia, including the development of membrane technology with the CSIRO and a partnership with ATCO Australia to operate a green hydrogen production and refuelling facility in Western Australia.
