Inspire our summer students

Data61 is hosting over 40 students for their Summer Vacation Program 2022-23 and will hold four virtual events with guest speakers to inspire, mobilise, and engage our future brains trustees.

We would welcome alumni speakers who would like to share their experience and expertise.
Do you have some inspiration or a presentation to share?

• Something that motivates you, could inspire one or many of our future scientists.
• Connecting your ideas with a different generation of thinkers and critiques.

You are welcome to speak for 5 – 20 minutes, so please let us know if you’re interested.

Why are students so important?

Harnessing and inspiring early-adopters via student acquisition, engagement and retention programs means we keep in-step and ahead with our research, innovation and entrepreneurial goals. And cross-generational engagement is a key concept in knowledge sharing and making.
This visibility and circular engagement of ideas is pivotal to bringing impact to fresh concepts. By combining knowledges across generations – from grassroots at schools, undergraduates, postgraduates, researchers, then beyond – we engage authentically with the ideation cycle.
