More bird species under threat

A new report released by BirdLife Australia and Charles Darwin University shows a worrying number of Australia’s birds are closer to extinction than they were a decade ago. The Action Plan for Australian Birds 2020 shows there are now 216 threatened bird species in Australia compared to 195 species 10 years ago.
