New tool optimises crop flowering times to avoid plant stressors

An accurate prediction of crop flowering time can help growers optimise grain yield potential by minimising the risks of yield losses due to frost, heat and water stresses. The CSIRO, with support from the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), has this season released prototypes of new online tools that can estimate the best sowing date for a particular crop variety and area.
