Nuclear waste robot put through its paces in Brisbane

In its special facility in Brisbane’s west, the nation’s top science agency has been quietly putting a robot through its paces to see if it is up to the task of safeguarding the world’s nuclear waste. CSIRO has collaborated with the International Atomic Energy Agency to develop the robot, called the Robotised Cherenkov Viewing Device (RCVD), over the last four years.
