Intra-cellular bacteria study opens new field of study International experts have described for the first time how healthy plants appear to carry bacteria in their cells, opening a new avenue of research to improve future plant health and propagation efforts including food crops such as grains and fruit such as grapes. […] The researchers acknowledge the support of Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi, Flinders University and Microscopy and Imaging Facility, and cell lines from Flinders, CSIRO Plant Industry and the School of Botany at the University of Melbourne.
