Area of research:
Computational Geosciences

Research project details:
My project looks at using knowledge graphs for improving geoscience knowledge management in a machine learning approach.

Location:
CSIRO Mineral Resources, ARRC Perth

My expectations from a mentoring partnership:

  • I would like to be in touch with my mentor every two weeks to exchange ideas on my project’s subject.
  • My preferred method of communicating is by email and Webex.
  • Ideally, my mentor would hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related STEM field. Experience with programming, ML, artificial intelligence, data science, linguistics, knowledge engineering, and NLP is desirable.

More about me:

My research work is currently focused in developing knowledge management applied to Geoscience. Previously I have worked in geological hazards assessment, Geomorphology, Earth observation technologies, hazards impacts associated with extremes events and forecasting of landslides, flood and debris flow risk. I have plenty of experience in disaster management as well as fieldwork and hazard forecast using numerical modelling.
Disciplines: Geodata Science, Geoinformatics (GIS), Remote Sensing, Engineering Geology, Geomorphology, Didactics, Educational Policy
