CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, invites eligible researchers to apply for grants of sea time to conduct research aboard RV Investigator in the 2027-28 financial year.

RV Investigator is an advanced ocean research vessel that provides a flexible platform – as well as a suite of equipment and expertise – to enable groundbreaking marine and atmospheric research for national benefit. The vessel can deliver research from the icy seas off Antarctica to the warm waters of the tropics on voyages of up to 60 days.

Grants of sea time are fully funded by the Australian Government through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).
