[…] According to ClimateWorks Australia’s report Land Use Futures, produced this year in collaboration with Deakin University and the CSIRO, some 53% of Australia’s area is already used for agricultureincluding an intensive use zone concentrated around the southern and eastern coasts, which covers only 13% of our landmass but is responsible for almost all irrigated farming and a third of the agricultural sector’s output.
