Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP)
Applications are now open for the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), a scheme that facilitates research placements for undergraduate students across research organisations, industry and universities in Victoria.
UROP is now looking for:
- undergraduate students with a passion for biomedical research.
- researchers who would like to host and supervise a talented student in their team.
Apply using the Student application form or the Supervisor application form between 26 July and 13 August 2021
With UROP, students undertake a project as part of a research laboratory, are supervised by a research scientist and work alongside other research staff and students in the team.
Through the program students gain an insight into biomedical research careers and valuable hands-on experience and expertise in laboratory techniques.
At the same time the scheme enhances the biomedical research industry’s workforce capability by attracting high performing students and building the skills needed for a career in research.
Research positions available through UROP can be either laboratory based or research projects for computational science, engineering and mathematics students, among others.
