Vale Cheryl Harris

Cheryl was a much-respected colleague and friend of many years for those of us who worked in the minerals and other divisions at Floreat and Kensington.

The Director of Mineral Resources, Rob Hough, sent out the following message:

“It is with great sadness that I let you know of the passing of Cheryl Harris after illness. Cheryl was a very long-term staff member of CSIRO in Perth, who supported Mineral Resources in its various forms over the years, and particularly for our mineral exploration teams. Cheryl, only very recently retired as one of our longest serving members of staff.

Personally, I had the immense pleasure of working with Cheryl for many years, she was hugely respected and always helpful and a delight to work with giving time for everyone. I feel thankful for having had the experience of working closely with her. A truly humble and wonderful person who will be sorely missed.”
