Vale Mina Brock

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the tragic passing of a dear friend and colleague, Mina Brock, in a motorcycle accident on Thursday 28 December 2023.

Mina is survived by her husband (Rodney) and three daughters (Katarina, Sophie and Marina) and we are thinking of them at this very sad time.   Kim Lee Chang (Mina’s Team Leader) and Patti Virtue (NCMI) are the CSIRO key contacts and are providing support to the family at this time.

Mina has been a valued Research Technician in the Hobart Labs for 28 years and there will be many people across our BU who have benefited from Mina’s hard work and technical expertise and research support over this time.  We send our deepest sympathies to her Team, the Coastal and Oceans (COS) Program and her Hobart based work friends on this very sad news.
